Kelly McWhinnie

Senior Graphic Designer

I’ve been fortunate to build my career across agencies and in-house teams in both New Zealand and Australia, working with everyone from local businesses to international brands. Each role has added something different, from strong production foundations and retail design to healthcare communications, brand development and leading creative projects.

What I enjoy most is helping brands communicate clearly through thoughtful, engaging design. Whether I’m creating packaging, developing campaigns or translating complex information into something people can easily understand, I like solving communication problems through design.

Over the years I’ve naturally taken on leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior designers, reviewing creative work and helping teams deliver high-quality outcomes. I enjoy collaborating with marketers, writers and clients to turn ideas into work that is both visually engaging and commercially effective.

I’m also someone who enjoys learning. Design is constantly evolving, and I like challenging myself to build new skills - most recently motion graphics and digital marketing, while continuing to strengthen the foundations that have shaped my career.
